MEET THE ARTIST: JAN BICAN

Beyond his surface artwork, Jan extends his paintings and illustrations to various products. He has collaborated with brands like PUMA, 1981 Second Hand, and Zalando, as well as created pieces for the Rekola annual collection, Forbes, and artists like Rita Ora and Machine Gun Kelly. Notably, he is the only Czech artist to have ever partnered with the PUMA brand.

The exhibition "Homecoming 25" presents a retrospective look at the last two years, when Jan Bican was inspired by his travels and homecomings. Reflection on the sorrows and joys of human destinies. Paintings depict the unbearable lightness of being and the lines of fate of the Indonesian natives, la dolce vita of the Italian countryside, but also the kosher customs of Williamsburg. However, it remains only up to you how you approach the image and what you see in it (of yourself).

Jan Bican took charge of the window wall of Elias Coffee Shop. In August, he painted it as part of Pride Month. This window wall will change throughout the year, depending on factors such as the season.
